Void vs Cinema
Fun Facts of Movie
On each of the four screens, playing in a loop, there is an audiovisual piece that uses void as a tool and deconstruction as a method, to propose a reflection on specific and essential aspects of cinematographic language: focus of attention, montage, dialogues and shot size.
Void is darkness and it is silence.
Non-void is the FILM.
Void allows us to draw attention to non-void and provides a small space/time for reflection in the torrent of images and sounds that a film is.
The excerpts used are from the films ‘The Conversation’, ‘The Birds’, ‘Sunset Boulevard’ and ‘A Fistful of Dollars’.
