Fun Facts of Movie

In 1973, his daughter María José and his son-in-law Gonzalo Sáenz de Buruaga gave him what would become his last laboratory. Freed from administrative obligations and with a space and resources of his own to develop his techniques, he put into practice what would become the most visionary of his creations: the PICTO LUMÍNICA AUDIO TACTIL.

In this final stage, he experimented with laser and the Bionic Optics he had presented at the UNIATEC Congress in Moscow in 1976. With this technique, Val del Omar made the viewer move around the images, distorting them optically. He also created the Tetrascopio Plat – a projection technique between still and sequential images – generating a universe of images and sounds, manipulating it all through the Mesa Truca, also invented by him.

The result was hundreds of diakinas and tetrakinas, recordings of “beaten” sounds, and Super 8 films, among them the filigree of Variaciones sobre una Granada.
