Manu Palomo
Artist, PROYECTOR Staff
I am a teacher for those at risk of exclusion, individual, couple and group therapist, sexologist and expert in gender and postcolonial theories, peripheral feminisms, queer theory and crip. I graduated in Art History at the UCM and I have developed my professional work in non-formal teaching and therapeutic counselling with people with serious mental illnesses. I have completed postgraduate training in sexology and gender studies (SEXPOL Foundation and Juan Carlos I University), Gestalt psychotherapy and humanistic Art Therapy (Art Therapy and Gestalt Therapy Centre directed by Elvira Gutiérrez) and, at present, I am studying a Master’s degree in self-knowledge, sexuality and human relationships in Reencounter Therapy (directed by Fina Sanz). I am currently developing educational and therapeutic projects in the field of sexuality and its experience with people of non-normative sexuality and in-depth work on homophobia, lesbophobia, transphobia and internalised biphobia. Alongside this, I accompany artists in consultation with blockages in creative processes and in situations of mourning. I co-direct the personal growth platform eMe Doble and participate in the group VAYU terapias. I collaborate with various LGTBIAQ+ groups.
