Artist, musician, electronic engineer and PhD in Robotics

Javi F. Gorostiza holds a degree in Physics and Electronic Engineering and a PhD in Robotics from the Carlos III University of Madrid. His research began by focusing on multimodal human-robot interaction systems, looking for mutual interactions between humans and social robots. The technology developed in this research has been transferred to environments related to interactive art: system, dance, visual and music. Creator of the DART platform (Dialogues between Art and Technology), where technologists collaborate with artists who want to introduce technology into their work. Through this platform, he has organised several multidisciplinary workshops.
