Jaume Pitarch is a Catalan artist who lives and works in Barcelona. In 1993 he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Chelsea College of Art, London, and in 1995 he obtained a Master’s degree from the Royal College of Art, London.

He works on the question of loss as a consubstantial aspect in the human being. He usually works with man-made elements. Elements that have helped you to get an idea of ​​yourself and the world around you. Disassemble and rebuild the elements to create new works.

He has had numerous exhibitions at an international as well as a national level, among them we can highlight the individual exhibitions he has had in: Àngels Barcelona (2013, 2009, 2004,1997); Gallery Fúcares, Madrid (2013, 2008); Spencer Brownstone Gallery, New York (2013, 2009, 2006) or Galerija Vartai, Lithuania, 2011. Her work has been selected for group exhibitions in galleries and institutions such as: Cristina Guerra Arte Contemporáneo, Portugal; Artium; MASS MoCA, Massachusets; Manifests; Santa Mónica Art Center, Barcelona; Fondation Maeght, Saint Paul, France; Musée d’Art Contemporain, Lyon; Carré d’Art Contemporain, Nimes or MACBA, Barcelona, among others. Her work is part of public and private collections such as the MACBA collection, La Caixa collection, Artium, the Bergé collection, the Patio Herreriano Museum or the collection of the Royal College of Art in London, among others
