TERESA SAPEY – Teresa Sapey
Estudió en la escuela Politécnica de Turín donde se graduó con matrícula de honor en 1985. Después estudiará en París Bellas Artes y un máster en arquitectura. Fue en esta ciudad cuando empezó a interesarse por adquirir fotografía, aunque pronto se decantó por el ‘arte en movimiento’ en el que se incluyen los vídeos performances, vídeoarte,.. En su actividad como coleccionista se ha centrado sobre todo en el vídeo, y algunas de las obras han formado parte de exposiciones en el Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo de Móstoles y en el Museo Lázaro Galdiano. Sus piezas particularmente mantienen un nexo temático en torno al espacio, a su uso, a su ocupación, o a su construcción (arquitectura). Además, Teresa Sapey forma parte de la Asociación 9915 y del patronato del Museo del Prado.
She studied at the Polytechnic University of Turin where she graduated with honours in 1985. She went on to study Fine Arts and a architecture master’s degree in Paris. It was in this city that she became interested in acquiring photography, although she became interested in ‘moving art’ soon, which includes video performances, video art,… In her activity as a collector she has focused above all on video, and some of her works have been part of exhibitions at the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Móstoles and at the Museo Lázaro Galdiano. Particularly her pieces maintain a thematic nexus around space, its use, its occupation, or its construction (architecture). Teresa Sapey is also a member of the 9915 Association and the board of trustees of the Prado Museum.
