Audio Visual Artist and Director of the Interdisciplinary Art Festival Tokyo, Sung Nam Han makes works with a semiological approach to languages, colors, sounds and images and often employs abrupt visual effects.
The director of Interdisciplinary Art Festival Tokyo (IAFT), Interdisciplinary Art Project Kobe (IAPK), and Art in Country of Tokyo (AICOT), Sung Nam HAN ruminates on the nature of “videowatching”, through which she produces a wide variety of works. Her artworks varies from interactive art installations using blue-screen keying to wearable / pocketable video works utilizing smartphones, small cameras or monitors. She has also produced AR works and art performances that combine video, play and dance based on the concept “Super Linear”.
