Sophia Cromatica (ita)
Nacida en Roma y adoptada por Venecia, alma antigua contemporánea, desde sus inicios artísticos sus composiciones han explorado las profundidades de la metamorfosis. Sus cuadros son mitologías visuales.
En sus primeros trabajos artísticos, la influencia del mosaico, con su potencial cromático, desembocó en la repetición del cuadrado en su sublime fuerza expresiva. Pequeños y grandes tapices de papel se transforman en figuras angélicas, manifestaciones de lo sagrado, cosmogonías inspiradas en los cuatro elementos.
Gracias a sus estudios de arquitectura y cine, colabora con músicos, actores, diseñadores y coreógrafos, creando esculturas escenográficas e instalaciones de vídeo. Es la única artista seleccionada para diseñar y crear el atuendo de las ceremonias del Maestro Zen del Templo Budista de Fidenza.
La polinización cruzada de diversos lenguajes y medios, en la que el color cobra protagonismo, da lugar a instalaciones totales en las que el espectador se convierte en parte integrante de la obra, envuelto e implicado en una metanarrativa de color y luz. El arabesco es el hilo conductor de posibles cruces atemporales.
En sus etéreos espacios de color, uno asciende a otra dimensión, un cuerpo espiritual y una tierra celestial, «en el mundo pero no del mundo».

In her early artistic production, the influence of mosaic with its chromatic potential led to a repetition of the square in its sublime expressive power. Small and large paper tapestries transform into angelic figures, manifestations of the sacred, cosmogonies inspired by the four elements.
Thanks to her studies in architecture and cinema, she collaborates with musicians, actors, designers, and choreographers, creating scenographic sculptures and video installations. She is the only artist selected to design and create the attire for the ceremonies of the Zen Master of the Buddhist Temple of Fidenza.
The cross-pollination of various languages and media, in which colour takes center stage, gives rise to total installations in which the viewer becomes an integral part of the work, enveloped and involved in a meta-narrative of colour and light. The arabesque is the common thread of possible atemporal crossings.
In her ethereal spaces of colour, one ascends to another dimension, a spiritual body and a celestial land, ‘in the world but not of the world.
