“Fatamorgana” es una parodia política en la cual, a través de referencias explícitas y citas directas, varias personalidades históricas y contemporáneas narran la historia y geopolítica a escala global tras la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Hanan -una prima musulmana de Molly Bloom- se encuentra, sin saber muy bien cómo, en el Hall of Fame Museum de Beirut ya pasada la hora del cierre. Al igual que la virtuosa Penélope, esta mujer espera a su marido; parece haber acordado una cita con él, y sin embargo este no ha llegado. ¿Dónde puede estar? El proyecto se compone de varias producciones interdisciplinares construidas alrededor de temas clave estructurales que incluyen múltiples colaboraciones.
Fatamorgana is a political parody, in which historical and contemporary personalities narrate post–WWII global history and geopolitics, through a web of explicit references and direct citations. Hanan – a Muslim cousin of Molly Bloom – finds herself, not sure how, in Beirut’s waxwork Hall of Fame museum after its closing hours. Like the most virtuous Penelope this woman waits for her husband; she appears to have set a date with him; but he has not arrived; where can he be? The project comprises various interdisciplinary detours and productions built around key structural themes and involving multiple collaborations.
