Naween Noppakun (tai)
Naween Noppakun es un artista y cineasta de imágenes en movimiento con base en Bangkok con experiencia en música y diseño de sonido.
Al crecer en medio de la rápida urbanización de Bangkok, Naween se reconoce a sí mismo a través del ritmo modulado de la ciudad. Sus dos primeros cortometrajes, When Her Light is Extinguished (2012) y We Love Me (2017), han ganado múltiples premios internacionales y se han proyectado en festivales de cine y videoarte de todo el mundo.
Su tercer cortometraje, Crazy Lotus, fue seleccionado para su desarrollo en la Berlinale Short Form Station 2020 y actualmente se encuentra en la etapa de preproducción.
Naween Noppakun is Bangkok-based moving image artist and filmmaker with a background in music and sound design.
Growing up amidst rapid urbanisation of Bangkok, Naween recognizes himself through the modulated rhythm of the city. His first two short films – When Her Light is Extinguished (2012) and We Love Me (2017) – have won multiple international awards and screened at film and video art festivals around the world.
His third short – Crazy Lotus – was selected for development in the Berlinale Short Form Station 2020 and it is currently in pre-production stage.
