Mauricio Sáenz (mex)

Mauricio Sáenz (n. 1977, Matamoros, México) es un artista visual y cineasta con un práctica entre lo experimental y la docuficción.

Meteorito, su ópera prima, es un cortometraje que abre un diálogo de coexistencia entre la vida y la muerte fusionando la representación de un fenómeno natural con un rito milenario a través de una realidad alterada.

Obtuvo una maestría en producción artística por la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia en España y ha expuesto su obra audiovisual en festivales como el International Film Festival Rotterdam, Ann Arbor Film Festival, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival y European Media Art Festival en Alemania donde también fue nominado para el Dialogpreis del Ministerio Alemán de Relaciones Exteriores.
