Lu Chih Kai (tw)
Lu Chih Kai nació en 1993 en Taiwán. Principalmente toma fotografías, filma videos y también realiza artes escénicas. Sus obras se han exhibido en el Centro Cultural Yilan, la Galería Espacial Inart, el Centro de Arte y Cultura Lianxin y el Campo Experimental Subterráneo de la Universidad de las Artes de Taipei.
Lu Chih Kai a menudo se inspira en sus recuerdos personales. Observa y reflexiona con subversión sobre las funciones de algunos espacios cotidianos. Mediante el uso de distintos ángulos de visión y el movimiento de la cámara de un dron, sus obras revelan las relaciones entre el cuerpo y el espacio y crean una ilusión visual con muchas capas que lo hace sentir como si estuviera en un mundo extraño. Recientemente se dedicó a desplazar el centro visual en el límite entre los estados de rareza y estética, tratando de perturbar las formas normales de ver, para luego sacar los sentimientos inusuales más allá de la realidad.
Lu Chih Kai was born in 1993 in Taiwan. He mainly takes photographs, filming videos and making performance arts as well. His works have been exhibited in Yilan Cultural Center, Inart Space Gallery, Lianxin Arts and Culture Center, and the Underground Experimental Field of Taipei University of the Arts.
Lu Chih Kai is often inspired by his personal memories. He observes and reflects with subversion on the functions of some daily spaces. By using the distinct viewing angles and camera movement of a drone, his works reveal the body–space relations and create a visual illusion with many layers that makes it like being in a bizarre world. He was recently dedicated to shifting the visual center on the boundary between the states of weirdness and aesthetics, trying to disturb the normal ways of seeing, and then brought out the unusual feelings beyond the reality.
