LARA KHALDI – Comisaria e investigadora
Lara Khaldi es una trabajadora cultural con sede en Jerusalén, Palestina. Es alumna del programa curatorial de Appel, Amsterdam, y de la European Graduate School, Suiza. Ha colaborado a menudo con la Fundación de Arte Al Ma’mal en Jerusalén, el Centro Cultural Khalil Sakakini, la Fundación de Arte Ramallah y Sharjah. Khaldi ha enseñado historia del arte, teoría y prácticas de exhibición en diversas instituciones educativas. Hasta hace poco era la directora del Programa de Estudios de Medios en Bard Al Quds, Jerusalén. Actualmente está trabajando con el colectivo de artistas Ruang Rupa y otros colegas en Documenta 15.
Ha contribuido a publicaciones de arte, especialmente en torno a su proyecto de investigación en curso sobre la cuestión de los museos en lucha, y desde 2009, ha estado colaborando con Yazan Khalili en conferencias performáticas y otros trabajos. Algunas de las exposiciones que ha co-comisariado recientemente son: School of Intrusions, Plataforma educativa con Noor Abed, Ramallah, (2020); Overtone: On the Politics of Listening, exposición y simposio, Instituto Goethe, Ramallah (2019); Unweaving Narratives: Performance program, Museo Palestino, Birzeit (2018); Shifting Ground, proyecto satellite de la XIII Bienal de Sharjah, Ramallah (2017); Desires into Fossils: Monuments Without a State series research exhibitions, con Reem Shilleh, Centro Cultural Khalil Sakakini, (2017); Eclipses, Fundación A.M Qattan, Ramallah (2017), entre muchas otras.
Lara Khaldi is a cultural worker based in Jerusalem, Palestine. She is an alumna of the de Appel curatorial programme, Amsterdam, and the European Graduate School, Switzerland. She has collaborated often with Al Ma’mal Art Foundation in Jerusalem, Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center, Ramallah and Sharjah Art Foundation. Khaldi has taught art history, theory and exhibition practices at diverse educational institutions. Until recently she was the head of the Media Studies Program at Bard Al Quds, Jerusalem. She is currently working with the artist collective Ruang Rupa and other colleagues on Documenta 15.
She has contributed to art publications especially around her ongoing research project on the question of museums in struggle, and since 2009, she has been collaborating with Yazan Khalili on lecture performances and other works.
