Kristina Paustian (nacida en Omsk, RU, vive en Berlín)
examina temas culturales, antropológicos y sociopolíticos en sus obras. Sus películas se caracterizan por una fuerte firma visual y sus trabajos en video a menudo se ejecutan en secuencias planificadas. Por su primer documental Swimmers / Zaplyv (2015, 77 min.) Recibió el premio ARTE Documentary Film Award a la mejor película, y en 2017 formó parte del programa Berlinale Talents. Para el desarrollo de su ópera prima Timekeeper recibió la Elsa Neumann y la beca del fondo Robert Bosch. Su ensayo cinematográfico Sleep está financiado por el Departamento de Cultura y Europa del Senado de Berlín.
Paustian es cofundador de la Media Art Association (mkv) para la promoción del arte contemporáneo con nuevos medios dedicados al desarrollo de narrativas experimentales y formatos de exhibición.

examines cultural anthropological and socio- political topics in her works. Her films are characterized by a strong visual signature and her video works are often executed in planned sequences. For her first documentary Swimmers / Zaplyv (2015, 77 min.) she received the ARTE Documentary Film Award for the best film, and in 2017 she was part of the Berlinale Talents program. For the development of her debut feature film Timekeeper she received the Elsa Neumann and the scholarship of the Robert Bosch fund. Her film essay Sleep is funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Culture and Europe.
Paustian is co-founder of the Media Art Association (mkv) for the promotion of contemporary art with new media dedicated to the development of experimental narrative and exhibition formats.
