Kika Nicolela es una artista, cineasta y curadora independiente brasileña radicada en Bruselas desde 2014. Sus trabajos incluyen videos monocanal, videoinstalaciones, performances, documentales experimentales y fotografía.
Licenciada en Cine y Video por la Universidad de Sao Paulo, Kika Nicolela también ha completado una Maestría en Bellas Artes en la Universidad de las Artes de Zurich (ZHDK).
La artista fue nominada para el premio internacional EXTRACT – Young Art Prize en 2014, y recibió varias subvenciones y premios brasileños destacados.
Ha participado en más de 100 exposiciones individuales y colectivas en todo el mundo, incluyendo la Bienal de Cine Kunst (Alemania), Bienal de la Imagen en Movimiento (Argentina), Bienal del Mercosul (Brasil), Ventosul Bienal de Curitiba (Brasil) y Bienal de Video y Artes. Fue artista residente en el Centro de Creación de Gyeonggi (Corea del Sur), Objectifs (Singapur), Route Fabrik (Suiza), Sumu AIR (Finlandia), Rondo Studio (Austria) y LIFT (Canadá), entre otros. ¡Kika Nicolela está representada por Heure Exquise! (Francia), Vtape (Canadá) y GIV (Canadá / Quebec).

Kika Nicolela is a Brazilian artist, filmmaker and independent curator based in Brussels since 2014. Her works include single-channel videos, video-installations, performances, experimental documentaries and photography.
Graduated in Film and Video by the University of Sao Paulo, Kika Nicolela has also completed a Master of Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHDK).
