In the past few years, forests have been destroyed as part of Istanbul’s gentrification, hence wild boars have lost their natural habitats and have crossed the Bosphorus by swimming, coming too close to the city center. They caused panic and scared the people away; this bizarre wildlife instant emerged into modern city life, blurring the borders of “the others”. The construction industry becomes a potent language of the non-progressive and the irrational.
En los últimos años, los bosques han sido destruidos como parte de la gentrificación de Estambul, por lo tanto, los jabalíes han perdido sus hábitats naturales y han cruzado el Bósforo nadando, acercándose demasiado al centro de la ciudad. Causaron pánico y asustaron a la gente; este extraño instante de vida silvestre surgió en la vida moderna de la ciudad, difuminando las fronteras de «los otros». La industria de la construcción se convierte en un lenguaje potente de lo no progresivo y lo irracional.
