Juan José Pereira nació en Asunción, Paraguay Diseñador de Imagen y Sonido en la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Participó en la Universidad de Verano de La Femis; Paris, Francia. Participó en la Escuela de Verano de Documentales en el 72 Festival de Cine de Locarno, organizado por la Universidad de la Suiza Italiana y el Festival de Cine de Locarno, en colaboración con la Semaine de la critique. Realizó el seminario de Investigación y producción de archivo en el documental, dentro de la maestría de Periodismo Documental, dictado por Laura Tusi en la UNTREF, Universidad de Tres de Febrero, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2020-2021.
