Body Limits es una serie de 12 obras que utilizan vídeos performativos encontrados en Internet.
La multiplicación de los cuerpos y las transformaciones realizadas sobre los colores y la velocidad convierten estos vídeos en obras de videoarte en las que se cuestiona la frontera entre figuración y abstracción.
Se han conservado las bandas sonoras originales. Ralentizadas a la misma velocidad que la imagen y enriquecidas con diversos efectos, contribuyen a la estética de estos détournements.
El cuerpo, llevado a sus límites, se trasciende para dar vida a nuevas representaciones de la actividad física.
«Blue Dance» utiliza un vídeo de la bailarina Marie-Louise Hertog.
Body Limits is a series of 12 works that use performative videos found on the Internet.
The multiplication of bodies and the transformations carried out on colors and speed turn these videos into video artworks where the border between figuration and abstraction is called into question.
The original soundtracks have been preserved. Slowed down to the same speed as the image and enriched by several effects, they contribute to the aesthetics of these détournements.
The body, pushed to its limits, is transcended to give life to new representations of physical activity.
