Sleeping machine II
2011
Pertenece a la instalación titulada Things go around.
También forman parte de esta instalación: Sleeping machine II, Bell, Did I?, For Saya y Tracking, From 0.
Presents a world unhinged, evokes a seductive nostalgia, with hidden inner corners inhabited only by older calculation machines, gears and other timepieces extracted from their usual structures moving on night time cityscapes. They turn and blocked in inexplicable ways along the rooms of an abandoned house, counting the slow and difficult step that it takes to achieve the time. Both works are shown as metaphors of Sawa´s more personal inner space, represented by the very act of sleeping or remembering. The artist is not interested in the landscape or the everyday life as such but as a transcript of his memory.
