Fatma Çolakoğlu, ha sido curadora de exposiciones, así como de cine y videoarte durante 15 años. En 2005, estableció el departamento de cine del Museo de Arte Moderno de Estambul. Posteriormente, fue responsable del programa de cine y video de Pera Film y dirigió el departamento de comunicaciones del Museo Pera en Estambul. Hoy, Çolakoğlu es directora asociada de investigación y programación en SALT en Estambul. Çolakoğlu recibió su licenciatura en historia y producción cinematográfica del Emerson College en los Estados Unidos y su Master en Dirección de Teatro de Goldsmiths, Universidad de Londres. Recientemente, Çolakoğlu formó parte del Jurado Internacional de Cortometrajes de Berlinale Shorts 2020.
Fatma Çolakoğlu, has been a curator for exhibitions as well as for film and video art for 15 years now. In 2005, she established the film department of the Istanbul Modern – Museum of Contemporary Art. Subsequently, she was responsible for the film and video programme of Pera Film and headed the communications department of the Pera Museum in Istanbul. Today, Çolakoğlu is associate director for research and programming at SALT in Istanbul. Çolakoğlu received her BA in film history and production from Emerson College in the USA and her MA in Theatre Directing from Goldsmiths, University of London. Recently, Çolakoğlu was part of the International Short Film Jury of Berlinale Shorts 2020.
