Elizabeth Lo es una cineasta galardonada cuyo trabajo se ha exhibido en todo el mundo, incluso en el Festival de Cine de Sundance, el Festival de Cine de Tribeca, el BFI London Film Festival, IDFA, Hot Docs, True / False, New York Times Op-Docs, Field of Vision y la aclamada serie POV de PBS. Elizabeth Lo está interesada en encontrar nuevas formas estéticas de explorar los límites entre especies, clases y estados desiguales de personalidad. El trabajo de Elizabeth se ha presentado en más de 100 festivales de cine de todo el mundo y ha ganado numerosos premios. Elizabeth tiene un BFA de la NYU Tisch School of the Arts y un MFA de la Universidad de Stanford.

Elizabeth Lo is an award-winning filmmaker whose work has been showcased around the world, including at the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, IDFA, Hot Docs, True/False, New York Times Op-Docs, Field of Vision, and acclaimed PBS series POV. Elizabeth was featured in DOC NYC’s 40 Under 40 List, Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film, and the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase at Cannes Lion. Her debut feature documentary, STRAY, has won numerous awards at festivals around the world in 2020, and will be theatrically released by Magnolia Pictures in March 2021.

Elizabeth Lo is interested in finding new, aesthetic ways of exploring the boundaries between species, class, and unequal states of personhood. Her work has been broadcast and showcased internationally, including at the Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, IDFA, BFI London Film Festival, Hot Docs, True/False, DOK Leipzig, BAMCinemafest, New York Times Op-Docs, Field of Vision, and PBS’ POV. 

Elizabeth was featured in DOC NYC’s 40 Under 40 List, named one of the «25 New Faces of Independent Film» by Filmmaker Magazine, and was featured in the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase at Cannes Lion and the Next Director Award Shortlist in London. Elizabeth was selected for the 56th New York Film Festival (NYFF) Artist Academy and the 72nd Locarno Film Festival Filmmakers Academy.

Elizabeth’s work includes Stray (2020), Hotel 22 (2015), Bisonhead (2016), Mother’s Day (2017), The Disclosure President (2016), Notes from Buena Vista (2016), Treasure Island (2014), and Last Stop in Santa Rosa (2013). Her collected shorts were released as a DVD for distribution to educational institutions and libraries around the world. Elizabeth’s work has played at over 100 film festivals around the world and has won numerous awards. Elizabeth holds a BFA from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and a MFA from Stanford University. 

Elizabeth’s debut feature documentary, Stray, was an official selection of the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival and has won numerous awards, including the Top Jury Prize at the 2020 Hot Docs International Film Festival. Stray will be released theatrically by Magnolia Pictures in 2021. Stray, was named #18 in “50 Most Anticipated American Films of 2019” by Filmmaker Magazine, and has received support from the Rooftop Film Fund, Catapult True/False Rough Cut Retreat, ARRI Amira Grant, BAVC MediaMaker Fellowship, IFP Film Week, Big Sky Pitch, Sheffield MeetMarket, Yaddo, and Apple.
