Elena Arroyo (esp)
Videoartista, performer y cineasta. Postgraduada en dirección de cine por la Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV de Cuba y especialista en Fotografía y Arte Contemporáneo (UPV). Desarrolla su trabajo artístico en producciones audiovisuales de carácter independiente. Compagina su labor profesional con la investigación, la consultoría especializada y la enseñanza. Desde hace tres años se forma en prácticas del cuerpo e investiga las posibles conexiones entre las artes visuales y las artes escénicas. Sus últimos trabajos han sido videos performativos sobre los que ha sido invitada a hablar en la Universidad de Nueva York (USA), en la Universidad de East Anglia (UK) y en el Festival Internacional de Videoarte de Camagüey (Cuba). Realiza performance a domicilio como parte de su investigación de doctorado.
Video artist, performer and filmmaker. Postgraduate in film directing from the International School of Film and TV of Cuba and specialist in Photography and Contemporary Art (UPV). She develops her artistic work in independent audiovisual productions. She combines her professional work with research, specialized consultancy and teaching. For the last three years she has been training in body practices and investigating the possible connections between visual and performing arts. Her latest works have been performative videos about which she has been invited to speak at New York University (USA), the University of East Anglia (UK) and the International Video Art Festival of Camagüey (Cuba). She performs at home as part of her PhD research.
