Chen Wan-Jen (taiw)
Chen Wan-jen nació en el condado de Hsinchu en 1982, se especializa en el uso de imágenes animadas de postproducción en sus piezas, mediante las cuales muchos escenarios comunes de la calle capturados de manera profesional se combinan y editan con imágenes descargadas de Internet.
El teatro de imágenes de Chen obtiene su inspiración de la propia vida. Para él, el contenido de la vida cotidiana «real» es representada a través de imágenes. No nos hacen conscientes del problema de si las imágenes son reales o falsas, sino que abordan directamente la discrepancia entre la realidad implícita y la recreación. Intencionalmente elige escenas comunes de la vida, intentando reconstruir los fragmentos y reinterpretar las experiencias que hemos perdido.
Chen Wan-Jen born in Hsinchu County, in 1982, he specializes in using post-production animated images in his creative expressions, whereby many common everyday street settings captured in professional manner are collaged and edited with images downloaded from the internet.
Chen’s image theater gleans its subject matter from life. For him, the content of «real» everyday life is acted out through images. They do not make us conscious of the issue of whether the images are real or fake, but directly touch upon the discrepancy between implied reality and re-creation. He intentionally chooses ordinary scenes from life, attempting to piece together the fragments and to reinterpret the experiences we have lost.
