La animación “Hipnosis para encontrar tu lugar en el mundo” es un reflejo de nuestra contemporaneidad que invita al espectador a reflexionar sobre la actualidad socio-política al mismo tiempo que le insta a huir de ella. El escapismo es un tema recurrente en la obra de Blanca Gracia. En este caso, se propone un manual de instrucciones delirante compuesto por distintos planes de fuga que van desde la ataraxia a la búsqueda de utopías, y que funcionan como alternativas a un mundo caótico y absurdo. Los personajes de este proyecto buscan un significante-amo para este mundo atonal en el que nos encontramos inmersos. Levantar la tela celeste del Flammarion, “el fin del mundo”, cruzar esta Tierra plana y descubrir si en efecto (como indicaban todos aquellos mapamundis del medievo) al otro lado habitan los dragones o si por el contrario se trata solo de nuestras propias sombras.
The animation «Hypnosis to find your place in the world» is a reflection of our contemporaneity that invites the viewer to reflect on socio-political news at the same time as the need for it. The escape is a recurring theme in Blanca Gracia’s work. In this case, we propose a delirious instruction manual composed of different planes of escape that range from ataraxia to the search for utopias, and that act as alternatives to a chaotic and absurd world. The characters of this project seek meaningful meaning for this world in which we find ourselves immersed. Raise the celestial fabric of the Flammarion, «the end of the world», cross this earth and discover if indeed (as indicated by all medieval maps of the Middle Ages) the other side inhabit the dragons and on the contrary it is only our own shadow shadows.
