ALISSON ÁVILA
Codirector y curador del festival Cine Esquema Novo (Porto Alegre / Brasil), creado en 2003 para explorar la convergencia y el diálogo entre el cine y el videoarte. Comenzó a vivir en Lisboa en 2009 y, en 2011, llevó un programa del festival Temps D ‘Images Portugal a Brasil, iniciando una amistad y asociación con la productora portuguesa Duplacena. Fue uno de los comisarios invitados de Fuso – Anual de Vídeo Arte Internacional de Lisboa edición de 2015 y, ese mismo año, codirige la primera edición de Loops.Lisboa exposición junto a la artista israelí Irit Batsry. Después de 5 ediciones, los socios diseñaron un proyecto spin-off centrado en una red de exhibición global, ahora materializado en Loops.Expanded. Alisson fue periodista independiente y reportera cultural durante más de 10 años, autora de libros sobre la escena musical del extremo sur de Brasil (Gauleses Irredutíveis, 2011). También es profesor invitado en IPAM / Universidad Europea de Lisboa y Oporto y cofundador de Beta-i, una empresa de consultoría de innovación y emprendimiento líder en Europa.
Co-director and curator of Cine Esquema Novo festival (Porto Alegre / Brazil), created in 2003 to explore the convergence and dialogue between film and video art. He started living in Lisbon in 2009 and, in 2011, he took the Temps D ‘Images Portugal festival programme to Brazil, starting a friendship and partnership with Portuguese production house Duplacena. He was one of the guest curators of Fuso – Anual de Vídeo Arte Internacional de Lisboa 2015 edition and, in the same year, he co-directed the first edition of the Loops.Lisboa exhibition alongside Israeli artist Irit Batsry. After 5 editions, the partners designed a spin-off project focused on a global exhibition network, now materialized in Loops.Expanded. Alisson was a freelance journalist and cultural reporter for more than 10 years, as well as an author with publications about southernmost Brazil’s music scene (Gauleses Irredutíveis, 2011). He’s also a guest lecturer at IPAM / European University in Lisbon and Oporto and Co-founder at Beta-i, a leading innovation and entrepreneurship consultancy firm in Europe.
