ALEXIS PARINAS
Alexis Parinas is a London-based artist and youth facilitator working predominantly across moving image, painting, printing, and sound. Drawing largely from intangible cultural heritage, Alexis seeks to discover, nurture, imagine, archive and pass down expansive and complex worlds through their practice. Alexis has exhibited at the Barbican Centre, London (2019), and has been an artist-in-residence at Wysing Arts Centre, Cambridge (2020/21). Alexis has also facilitated numerous workshops for schools and youth groups across the UK both individually as well as with arts organisations such as Wysing Arts Centre and The RISE Collective. Most recently, Alexis was invited to lead a workshop on cameraless filmmaking and expanded cinema as a Visiting Practitioner at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London (2023).
