ALBERTO TOVAR – Equipo comunicación y producción
Si tuviera que definirme de alguna manera en este momento de mi vida, acudiría al concepto de cineasta en prácticas. Aunque familiarizado con los entornos cinematográficos desde hace años, mi introducción profesional y mi construcción personal en el Séptimo Arte se encuentran fraguándose a fuego lento, para de esta manera fomentar un proceso productivo firme y determinante.
Encontré mi nexo con este mundo a través de mis estudios de Comunicación Audiovisual en la Universidad de Granada, a la par de diversas incursiones en la creación cinematográfica y en la crítica recorriendo algunos de los festivales de cine más importante de nuestra geografía.
No obstante, mi definición artística encontró su clara vocación en los entornos más alternativos, aquellos ajenos a las vicisitudes de la industria y vigentes en la búsqueda de nuevos horizontes lingüísticos, a través del máster en Documental Creativo, Cine Experimental y Videocreación, que desarrollé en la TAI. Desde entonces, mis obras, siempre encuadradas en un modelo que relaciona tradición y vanguardia, han buscado y encontrado el foco de diversos festivales para su exposición. La aventura, que aún me concierne, es la del aprendizaje, a través del máster en Cine y TV, que estoy terminando en la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, y en la que he podido perfilar una idea más amplia de los valores industriales.
Del mismo modo, mis inquietudes creativas me han llevado a participar en el eje cinematográfico, especialmente en la producción, de forma más o menos asidua, para acabar en la colaboración en un festival como Proyector, valiente y arriesgado, que busca en las diversas voces del más refinado eco cinematográfico, el deseo de querer romper y seguir apostando por un cine/audiovisual al margen de toda regla.

If I had to define myself in some way at this point in my life, I would use the term filmmaker-in-training. Although I have been familiar with cinematographic environments for years, my professional introduction and my personal construction in the Seventh Art are being forged over a simmering fire, in order to foster a firm and decisive productive process.
I found my link with this world through my studies of Audiovisual Communication at the University of Granada, along with several forays into film creation and criticism, visiting some of the most important film festivals in our country.
However, my artistic vision found its clear calling in the most alternative environments, those outside the vicissitudes of the industry and in the search for new linguistic horizons, through the Master’s in Creative Documentary, Experimental Film and Videocreation, which I studied at the TAI. Since then, my works, always framed in a model that relates tradition and avant-garde, have sought and found the focus of various festivals for their exhibition. The adventure, which is still ongoing, is that of education, through the Master’s degree in Film and TV, which I am finishing at the Carlos III University of Madrid, and in which I have been able to outline a broader idea of industrial values.
Similarly, my passion for creativity has drawn me into the realm of cinema, particularly in production, where my involvement has varied over time. Eventually, this journey led me to collaborate with bold and adventurous endeavours like the Proyector Festival. Proyector, known for its daring and innovative spirit, tirelessly seeks out the diverse voices echoing within the most refined realms of cinema. It embodies the relentless desire to challenge norms and persist in championing cinema and audiovisual experiences that exist on the periphery of convention.
