Adrián Regnier Chávez (mex)
Adrián Regnier Chávez (Ciudad de México, México, 1989) cursó la carrera de Artes Visuales en la Escuela Nacional de Escultura, Pintura y Grabado, ‘La Esmeralda’. Desde 2009, ha desarrollado obra importante en los campos del video, animación contemporánea y Realidad Virtual (RV / VR).
Ha sido apoyado en diversas ocasiones por instituciones nacionales e internacionales: la Residencia del Laboratorio de Inmersión del Centro de Cultura Digital + BBVA Bancomer (México, 2018-19), el Programa de Apoyo a la Investigación y Producción en Arte y Medios (PAPIAM; CENART/ CONACULTA, México, 2016-17); la Residencia MADATAC en Casa de Velázquez (España, 2016) y en dos ocasiones por la beca Jóvenes Creadores (FONCA, México, 2013-14; 2018-19), entre otras. Asimismo, cabe destacar que es el artista más joven en la historia del programa privado de Becas y Comisiones de la Fundación de Arte Cisnero Fontanales (CIFO, E.E.U.U., 2013-14), y en competir por el prestigioso premio ‘Reflet d’Or’ para Obra Inmersiva, del XXV Festival Internacional de Cine de Ginebra, para el cual fue invitado de forma privada en 2019.
Ha expuesto de forma individual en el Museo de Arte de Sinaloa (“Hemos Llegado Hasta […]”, México, 2018-19), el Centro Multimedia del CENART (“Días de Días […]”, México, 2017-18), el Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil (“Habrán Más Cosas Buenas […]”, 2015) y el Museo Universitario Leopoldo Flores (“Hay Una Forma De Ver […]”, 2017-18; “Habrán Unas Idas […]”, México, 2015).
Resultó ganador del primer lugar en la IV Bienal Internacional de Arte de Veracruz (México, 2018), y la XXXVIII edición del Encuentro Nacional de Arte Joven (México, 2018); la Muestra de Arte Digital Audiovisual y Tecnologías Avanzadas Acontemporáneas, MADATAC 07 (España, 2016); el Festival Internacional de Arte Electrónico y Medios TRANSITIO MX 6 (México, 2015); y en tres ocasiones, resultó ganador de las ediciones XV, X y XII del Concurso Nacional de Video Experimental (México, 2017; 2014; 2012). Asimismo, ha sido ganador del festival internacional de animación cotemporánea Animasivo (VIII, 2015; XI, 2018) y de las bienales internacionales de videoarte VideoBabel 2013 y Pantalla Global (Perú, España, 2013; 2011).
Su obra es parte de la colección privada de Ella Fontanals-Cisneros, así como la de MADATAC, Casa de Velázquez, Pi Fernandino, CIFO, el Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Casoria y Fundación Protovecka; y ha sido seleccionada, exhibida y premiada en más de 300 festivales y concursos nacionales e internacionales de videoarte, cine, animación y arte contemporáneo.
Adrián Regnier Chávez (Mexico City, Mexico, 1989) studied Visual Arts at the National School of Sculpture, Painting and Engraving, ‘La Esmeralda’. Since 2011, he has developed important work in the fields of video, contemporary animation and Virtual Reality (RV / VR).
He has been supported on several occasions by national and international institutions: the Immersion Laboratory Residence Center of Digital Culture + BBVA Bancomer (Mexico, 2018-19), the Program of Support for Research and Production in Art and Media (PAPIAM; CENART / CONACULTA, Mexico, 2016-17); the MADATAC Residence in Casa de Velázquez (Spain, 2016) and twice for the Young Creators Scholarship (FONCA, Mexico, 2013-14; 2018-19), among others. It should also be noted that he is the youngest artist in the history of the private scholarship and commission program of the Cisnero Fontanales Art Foundation (CIFO, USA, 2013-14), and in competing for the prestigious ‘Reflet d’Or’ award for Immersive Work, of the XXV Geneva International Film Festival, for which he was invited privately in 2019.

Likewise, he has been the winner of the Animasivo international festival of contemporary animation (VIII, 2015; XI, 2018) and of the international biennials of video art VideoBabel 2013 and Global Screen (Peru, Spain, 2013; 2011).
His work is part of collections such as MADATAC, Casa de Velázquez, Pi Fernandino, CIFO, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Casoria CCAM and Fundación Protovecka; and it has been selected, exhibited and awarded in more than 300 national and international festivals and contests of video art, cinema, animation and contemporary art.
