{"id":22014,"date":"2026-04-29T12:36:30","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T10:36:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/proyector.info\/?post_type=person&#038;p=22014"},"modified":"2026-04-29T13:01:37","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T11:01:37","slug":"angel-rueda","status":"publish","type":"person","link":"https:\/\/proyector.info\/en\/profile\/angel-rueda\/","title":{"rendered":"\u00c1ngel Rueda"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Programmer, curator and filmmaker, \u00c1ngel Rueda is co-director and founder of&nbsp;<strong>(S8) Mostra International de Cinema Perif\u00e9rico&nbsp;<\/strong>in A Coru\u00f1a (Spain), with a special focus on avant-garde cinema, film performance and moving image art.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In 2003, he founded the film collective&nbsp;<strong>Lili Films.<\/strong>&nbsp;During this period, he produced more than 20 films, in which he explored appropriation and performative cinema.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In his filmography, we find films like Bendita Calle, shot in Super 8 following the ideas of Vertov, El cielo en Super 8 and 50 a\u00f1os en el Andamio, a feature film about the revival of one of the main works of Spanish amateur cinema, El Andamio (1958, Rogelio Amigo).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>In 2009 he founded the artist collective&nbsp;<strong>FDI<\/strong>, in which cinematographic devices were dismantled to give prominence to the audience as a crucial element in the creation process, and which will later evolve into the Creation Laboratory&nbsp;<strong>AA++<\/strong>, where he is currently developing research projects on film performance with Ana Dom\u00ednguez.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>As a programmer and curator, \u00c1ngel has developed curatorial projects in important art and cultural centers such as Brasilian Cinemateque (S\u00e3o Paulo \u2013 Brasil), Porto Alegre Cinemateque Brasil), Spanish Art Culture Center \u2013 CCE (Lima \u2013 Peru), Spanish Art Culture Center (Montevideo \u2013 Uruguay), Buenos Aires Spanish Art Culture Center \u2013 CECEBA (Buenos Aires \u2013 Argentina), Buenos Aires Modern Art Museun \u2013 MAMBA (Buenos Aires \u2013 Argentina), Curitiba Art Center (Curitiba \u2013 Brasil), MAR Museum (Mar del Plata \u2013 Argentina) and the main Spanish art and cultural centers such as MUSAC \u2013 Museo de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo de Castilla y Le\u00f3n, La Casa Encendida \u2013 Obra Socio Cultural de Caja Madrid, CGAI \u2013 Galician Film Archive, Cantabria Film Archive, GAI\u00c1S \u2013 Fundaci\u00f3n Ciudade da Cultura de Galicia, Pazo da Cultura de Pontevedra, MAC \u2013 Museo de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo Gas Natural Fenosa, Fundaci\u00f3n Luis Seoane, Museo de Bellas Artes de A Coru\u00f1a, NORMAL \u2013 Espacio de Intervenci\u00f3n Cultural.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>He has also been invited as an international judge at several international film festivals.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Programmer, curator and filmmaker, \u00c1ngel Rueda is co-director and founder of&nbsp;(S8) Mostra International de Cinema Perif\u00e9rico&nbsp;in A Coru\u00f1a (Spain), with<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":22011,"template":"","meta":[],"person_cat":[98,241,764,243,420,244],"person_tag":[367,563],"class_list":["post-22014","person","type-person","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","person_cat-artist","person_cat-cinema","person_cat-curatorship","person_cat-programming","person_cat-proyector-professional","person_cat-research","person_tag-367","person_tag-festival-2022-en"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
