Fernando Castro Fl\u00f3rez (Plasencia, 1964) is a philosopher, aesthete and critic of Spanish art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From his early years as a student, and later as a critic, he grew a passion for the thoughts of Friedrich Nietzsche, Theodor Adorno, Walter Benjamin, Jacques Lacan or Franz Kafka, among others. He has developed his teaching work at the Institute of Aesthetics and Theory of Arts, the Autonomous University of Madrid, the Contemporary Culture of the Ortega y Gasset Institute and the Reina Sofia Museum, of which he is a board member. He teaches doctorate courses, classes and conferences in numerous universities and museums, both national and international.1\u200b<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He has written regularly in cultural sections of newspapers such as El Pa\u00eds, Diario 16, El Independiente, El Sol, El Mundo, and he has been working as an art critic at ABC Cultural for more than ten years, collaborating on several cultural magazines. He has curated more than a hundred exhibitions and numerous individual and collective exhibitions in museums around the world1\u200b, as well as collaborative works such as Domingo S\u00e1nchez Blanco from Salamanca.2 His son is the Spanish philosopher Ernesto Castro C\u00f3rdoba, a professor of aesthetics at the Complutense University of Madrid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
