{"id":11372,"date":"2025-07-30T09:28:05","date_gmt":"2025-07-30T07:28:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/proyector.info\/profile\/marte-kiessling\/"},"modified":"2025-07-30T09:33:47","modified_gmt":"2025-07-30T07:33:47","slug":"marte-kiessling","status":"publish","type":"person","link":"https:\/\/proyector.info\/en\/profile\/marte-kiessling\/","title":{"rendered":"Marte Kiessling"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Marte Kiessling was born in 1981 in the South of Germany and lives and works in Berlin.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>From 2001 to 2007 she studied Fine Arts in Hamburg and Reykjavik.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>She regularly participates in exhibitions, residencies and projects worldwide.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>With a conceptual approach, she reflect on the closely related subjects of archive and memory. This often results in an examination of both the human need for \u2018conclusive\u2019 stories and the question whether anecdotes \u2018fictionalize\u2019 history. Her artworks directly respond to the surrounding environment and use every day experiences from a personal point of view as a starting point. Often these are framed instances that would go unnoticed in their original context. Sometimes they appear idiosyncratic and quirky, at other times, they seem typical by-products of our daily lives.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Additionally to her \u201csolo\u201d-work, she used to work with the international artist groups \u201cGlobal Alien\u201d (www.globalalien.net) and cameracartell (www.cameracartell.com) as well as in collaborations with fellow artists and curators in order to organize shows and projects (for example: www.arcadia-unbound.de).<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marte Kiessling was born in 1981 in the South of Germany and lives and works in Berlin.
