For more than forty years, Isabel Mu\u00f1oz has toured the world with her camera portraying the feelings of the human being in its purest state and intimacy. From the dignity of the primitive tribes to the disconsolation of the prisons; from the sensuality of dance to the denunciation of oppression; from the ecstasy that overcomes the lacerating pain to the pain that can no longer be overcome. The Catalan artist has photographed almost all the feelings and emotions that the human species harbors, including those of our ancestors, primates, whose gestures have been part of our genes for millions of years.
In 2016 she was recognized with the Spanish National Photography Award, having previously obtained prestigious awards such as the 1999 and 2004 World Press Photo, the Bartolom\u00e9 Ross, the Unicef Spain, the Gold Medal for Merit of the Fine Arts in 2009, the Premio de the Community of Madrid, etc.
In 2018 she was one of those invited by The Friends of the Prado Foundation to reflect on the museum \u0301s artistic and historical richness, creating two exclusive pieces for its collection. Recently, she has been elected a member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in the New Image Arts section.
Her artworks are included in the most important public and private collections around the world. These include the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda in Madrid, Foto Colectania in Barcelona Maison Europ\u00e9ene de Photographie in Paris, and the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
