“Folds” explores the Deleuzian notion of the fold as an infinite device that unites the visible and the invisible, the virtual and the real. Inspired by Gilles Deleuze’s The Fold: Leibniz and the Baroque, this work goes beyond a physical structure to open a space of possibilities, where matter and perception intertwine. The work documents how diverse elements of nature\u2014wind, trees, clouds, sun, humidity\u2014project their presence onto a phantasmagorical surface, creating plays of light and shadow that reveal the folds of our surroundings. Thus, “Folds” becomes a device that manifests exterior existence within, capturing the interplay of forces and tiny beings that make up the world, from air and microorganisms to the very texture of the paper and its interaction with fluids, extending the boundaries of what is perceptible and imaginable.
